Birthday Book Club

The Coulston Birthday Book club provides parents with an inexpensive alternative to cupcakes etc to celebrate their child’s birthday. Parents make a $5.00 donation to the Coulston library and in return, on or near, their birthday the child chooses a “birthday” book. The book will have a bookplate in the front recognizing their birthday and they are the first to check it out.

Coulston Elementary school is a proud participant in the Indiana Library Federation sponsored Young Hoosier Book Award.

This program rewards the authors of books chosen by Indiana school children (young hoosiers). Students read nominated books and vote for their favorite. The votes are then tallied and the awards granted accordingly.
