Parents and Students!! Homework is attached to the newsletter.
Please sign and return by Friday. We
will be practicing these skills— Number
Sense Standard 1 (Grade 3) 3.1.1
Count, read, and write whole numbers up to 1,000. 3.1.5
Compare whole numbers up to 1,000
and arrange them in numerical order. 3.1.2
Identify and interpret place value in whole numbers up to 1,000. 3.1.3
Use words, models, and expanded form to represent numbers up to
1,000. Computation
Standard 2 (Grade 3) 3.2.1
Add whole numbers up to 1,000 with or without regrouping. 3.2.1
Subtract whole numbers up to 1,000 with or without regrouping. Measurement
Standard 5 (Grade3) 3.5.10
Find the value of any collection of coins and bills.
Write amounts less than a dollar using the cent symbol and write
larger amount in decimal notation using the dollar symbol. We
will be doing daily basic fact practice.
This week we will be practicing +3 (100 problems in 5 minutes, 4
minutes, 3 minutes by Friday.). We
will be doing daily mixed review and problem solving activities.
Please
watch for papers that will be coming home weekly.
Your help will be needed for your child to have success in math.
