What can the Hendricks’
parents and guardians do?

READ 20 MINUTES EVERY DAY WITH YOUR CHILDREN!

What can the community do?

The entire community must assume responsibility for the reading progress of our children.

Take advantage of the school’s and the community’s resources to motivate students to read.

Establish strong early intervention programs for pre kindergarten age children.

What have we learned?

"We have learned that for 90-95% of poor readers, prevention and early intervention programs can increase reading skills to average reading levels. We have also learned that if we delay intervention until nine years of age, approximately 75% of the children will have difficulties learning to read throughout high school."

By working together, 100% of our students will meet their individual reading goals!
