AR Extra Credit

Students may earn 10 extra credit points in one class, each nine weeks by reading an Accelerated Reader book and passing the computerized quiz with an 80% or better.

Here's how it works:

• Know your Star Reader reading level or allowed point value for reading (if you do not know this number check with Mr. Springer or Mrs. Sowder
• Select an AR book based on the following scale:

• AR titles are listed on our OPAC system for all books that have a test.
• A sticker on the spine of each book identifies AR books.
• Point levels are listed on the inside of the front cover of each AR title
• Read the book and take the quiz. You need to pass with at least 80% (8 out of 10 or 16 out of 20)
• You may not take more than one test per grading period (if you do not pass, you do not get the opportunity to take another test)
• Print your results and give them to Mrs. Sowder or Mr. Springer.
• Tell them whom the extra credit should apply to.
• They will deliver your test to that teacher.
• REMEMBER, extra credit will count only one time each nine weeks and in only one class.

DEADLINE: October 5, 2007 (First Nine Weeks)

All quizzes must be completed and returned to Mrs. Sowder by the end of the day, Friday, October 5, 2007. NO EXCEPTIONS!
