INDIANA PARENT NETWORK WEBSITE - www.INParentNetwork.com

   SCS parents with students in grades 3-10 will be receiving a Parent Access Letter the first week of December that offers information on the new Indiana Parent Network website created by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE).

   The Indiana Parent Network will help parents support their children by playing a more active role in their education.  The website provides parents with the following:

  • The child's fall 2008 ISTEP+ results (available December 4, 2008)

  • Access to personalized resources

  • Engaging and informative activities

   The Parent Access Letter will contain a secure Invitation Code that parents will use to set up an account that provides personalized information within the website and easy access to their students' ISTEP+ results.  Parents can access the website at www.INParentNetwork.com. 

   Parents can access technical support through Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) in the Help section of the website, or they may contact the Parent Network System Administrator at your child's school.  It is our hope that SCS parents will experience the benefit of more personalized access to educational resources focused on increasing achievement through this new website.

NOTE:  Please keep your Invitation Code in a safe place.  Providing access to unauthorized individuals is a crime under State and Federal law.

ISTEP+ Parent Network

 

The Indiana Department of Education is aware of the technical issues preventing some Indiana parents from accessing their student’s 2008 ISTEP+ results online through the new ISTEP+ Parent Network (www.doe.in.gov/istepparentnetwork) launched Dec. 4.

 

The Indiana Department of Education has been assured that the vendor, The Grow Network, is working diligently to restore full capability of the ISTEP+ Parent Network for all parents affected as soon as possible.

At this time, all parent and school questions related to ISTEP+ Parent Network access should be directed to 1-800-481-4769 or indianasupport@grow.net for immediate assistance. At the insistence of the Indiana Department of Education, The Grow Network has committed to the following:

 

1.    Address each online accessibility issue for parents/schools on a case-by-case basis.

2.    Mail printed reports immediately to any Indiana parent experiencing technical issues.

3.    Contact all affected parents personally via phone or e-mail as soon as full functionality is restored.

Indiana schools are not expected to resolve technical issues with the ISTEP+ Parent Network Web site for the parents in their community. However, all schools have received a printed copy of each student’s 2008 ISTEP+ results. These score reports are available upon the request of parents/guardians.

 

The vendor has reported that approximately 85 percent of Indiana parents are able to access the ISTEP+ Parent Network currently. We recognize this has been a frustrating experience for any parents and schools affected, and we sincerely apologize for this ordeal. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
