Brenda (Kelsay) Simmons
Brenda, SHS Class of 1981
graduate, was a 4 year starter for the Lady Golden Bears setting
numerous scoring records during her time as a Golden Bear
player. She was a member of the Indiana All Star team in 1981.
Brenda is being honored by the Women’s Indiana Basketball Hall
of Fame with her selection as a member of this year’s Silver
Anniversary Team. The Silver Anniversary Team will be recognized
during the Annual Hall of Fame Awards Banquet on Saturday,
April 29, 2006.

Tom McKinney
Tom, former Golden Bear Assistant
Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach from 1975 to 1979, is being honored with his
Induction into the Men’s Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
He had tremendous head coaching stints at Franklin
High School and Bloomington North. Tom’s 1997 Bloomington
North team won the State Championship. A banquet to honor the
newest members of the Men’s Indiana Basketball Hall of
Fame will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2006.
