2008-09 Wednesday Early Release Schedule
|
|
SCS Parents should be advised that for
the 2008-09 school year, Shelbyville Central Schools will continue to
observe the Wednesday early release program that was implemented last school
year.
The early release will provide more
time for teachers to work on curriculum development, school improvement
efforts, corporation initiatives, and continuous professional
development. The early release will also reduce the amount of time
that teachers are pulled from their classrooms for staff development
activities as well as create remediation and enrichment opportunities for
students.
Kindergarten
and special area schedules at the elementary level will be adjusted on
Wednesdays. The YMCA after school child care program, Boys Club, and
Girls Inc. will accommodate students on the early release
days.
