Shelbyville Central Schools will be on a two hour delay for Thursday,
February 18, 2010. The county travel status for Shelby County has been
downgraded from Watch to Advisory, which means routine travel or
activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation.
Motorists should use caution and be patient while driving on the county
roads. There will be no AM preschool classes.

Closings and Delays
- Shelbyville Central Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 17,
2010, due to inclement weather and road conditions. Shelby County roads
continue to be listed as a Watch travel status with only essential
travel recommended.
- Shelbyville Central Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 16,
2010, due to inclement weather and road conditions. Shelby County roads
are listed as a Watch travel status with only essential travel
recommended.
- The School Board Meeting for February 15 has been
rescheduled for Monday, February 22 at 7 PM.
- Shelbyville Central Schools will be closed on Monday,
February 15, 2010, due to inclement weather and road conditions. All
after school extra curricular student activities and practices have been
canceled for February 15.
- Shelbyville Central Schools will be on
a two hour delay for Friday, February 12, 2010, due to inclement weather
and road conditions. There will be no AM preschool classes.
- Shelbyville Central Schools will be closed on
Thursday,
February 11, 2010. Shelby County is continues to be listed as a
Watch travel status with only essential travel recommended. Many of the
county roads remain impassable due to drifting snow. All after school extra
curricular student activities and practices have been canceled for February
11.
- Shelbyville Central Schools will be closed on
Wednesday, February 10, 2010, due to inclement weather
and road conditions. All after school extra curricular student
activities and practices have been canceled for February 10. As a
reminder, Shelbyville Central Schools will be in session on Friday,
February 12 and Monday, February 15 as snow make-up days.
- Shelbyville Central Schools will
be closed on Tuesday, February 9. 2010, due to the winter storm
warning and forecast for continuing snow throughout the day. All
after school extra curricular student activities and practices have
been canceled for Tuesday, February 9.
- Based on the most recent
weather forecast, Shelbyville Central Schools will dismiss early
today, Friday, February 5, 2010. The middle school and high school
will dismiss at 1:00 PM. The elementary schools will dismiss at 1:45
PM. There will be no PM preschool classes. All after school
practices and extra curricular student activities have been
cancelled. This includes tonight's home basketball game and
Saturday's elementary tournament.
- School was in session on Monday, January 18 as a
make-up day for the school closing on January 7th.
- Shelbyville Central Schools was on a two hour delay
for Friday, January 8, 2010 due to inclement weather and road
conditions. AM preschool classes were canceled.
- Shelbyville Central Schools was closed on Thursday,
January 7, 2010 due to the winter weather advisory and projections for
accumulations of snow throughout the day. All after school extra
curricular student activities and practices were canceled for Thursday,
January 7.
